Sophiatown underdogs succeeds in drug bust

Sophiatown Neighbourhood Watch plus Alert Security and Armed Response Services confiscate 37 bags of marijuana.

The Sophiatown Neighbourhood Watch (SNW) were up in arms on the night of March 18.

After receiving a tip-off of drug dealing in the flats, the SNW acted quickly on the information.

The drug dealing was said to be taking place in the flats of Gibson Street, Sophiatown. For backup the SNW called upon the Alert Security and Armed Response Services (ASARS) who came immediately and together they managed to make quick arrests that night.

Four suspected men and a woman were arrested for the possession of 37 bags of marijuana.

The community applauded the SNW and everyone who helped in the support of making these arrests.

The SNW encourages that the community should report and share information to beat the crime in the neighbourhood.
