Police are on the lookout for three suspects following shooting in Zola
Gauteng Police are on the lookout for three suspects following a shootout that took place in Zola last week Thursday where only one suspect was arrested.
Police were patrolling the area at the early hours of the morning when they saw a suspicious looking truck parked at Buthelezi Street in Zola.
Police saw four suspicious looking men standing near an Isuzu truck and police took caution of the vehicle and suspects around it, so they decided to approach the men to investigate further as the truck matched a description provided by a truck that was reported stolen.
As they draw closer to investigate the scene, the police noticed that there was a Toyota Corolla that was stationary not far from the truck and had taken note of it as well.
When they got closer to the truck for investigation, the men in the Toyota started opening fire on the police and the police retaliated.
One suspect was shot at and was taken into police custody while three others managed to get away, police are still on the lookout for the three remaining suspects.
