Schools Foundation helps children to remain active

School foundation hopes to help children to live a healthy lifestyle

My Township School Foundation and Catrobat Kidz have launched an exciting project for pre-school children in Soweto.

The project is aimed at helping children from ages between two and nine to live an active life style by engaging them to sport activities, giving them the confidence to succeed and improve their brain integration.

CatrobatKidz is a quality pre-school extra mural activity service designed to help children.

Established in 2001, Catrobat Kidz provides all the necessary movement experiences needed to have a profound effect on children’s life.

Katlego Motlabi, an Administrator at My Township School Foundation said, extensive research into early childhood education and many years of practical experience have been combined into Catrobat Kidz programme.

Catrobat Kidz offers many unique ideas that according to Motlabi have never before been taught to pre-school children.

“We bring to your child a learning concept that is guaranteed to benefit and to enhance self-esteem while enjoying participating,” said Motlabi.

It is during these fundamental years that window periods open and close during which children have the opportunity to develop each skill to the best of their ability, in order to build a solid foundation that will allow them to achieve both physically and mentally throughout their life.

“We invite day care centres from different parts of Soweto and parents to enrol their pre-schools for the Katrobat Kidz Programme so that they can be developed from an early age,” said Motlabi.
