Dube protesters finally receive answers from Meadowlands Police Station
At 18:40 March 07, the Meadowlands Police Station Commander Malefetsana Mofokeng addressed angry protesters following a meeting he held with two women who represented the protesters.
Mofokeng said that they have arrested the suspect and that police are still busy with the investigation.
“We cannot allow the protesters to see the suspect but we shall inform them on the proceedings of the case and when the suspect will appear in court.”
Mofokeng also touched on the issue of corrupt police officers working together with drug dealers at the hostel.
“We are going to investigate this issue, a police officer is supposed to protect the community, not cause harm.

“We will visit the hostel to address their issues as we did in December.”
Mofokeng managed to come down the protesters after this statement, the crowd eventually dispersed.
