Florida Primary on a high after Inter Primary athletics championship

“They promised they would deliver the trophy”

Not even the steady downpour could dampen Florida Primary School principal Stanley Louw’s demeanour as he gushes on excitedly about the school’s latest victory at the Inter Primary Schools athletics championship on February 18.

Louw and sportsmaster Sheridan Alexander explain that the school has come close to winning over the past ten years, but the trophy would elude them each time.

Having secured bragging rights for the next year, even educator Rowena Goss is upbeat and the excitement at pipping the 25 competing schools to the post, is palpable in the school.

The school’s sportsmaster, Sheridan Alexander can be seen in the video below sharing their recipe for success.

Principal Stanley Louw said, “I am retiring this coming June and the educators promised that they would deliver the trophy as a retirement gift.”

They certainly delivered and the glittering trophy holds place of pride in their display cabinet.

Louw added, “The victory lap at the end of the Inter Primary athletics included educators, parents and learners and is a memory I will cherish as I step into retirement.”

“Thank you to all for their role in contributing to our success and well done to Florida Primary School.”
