Safety brought to the people – Jabulani

Government departments make their policies and tips heard in Jabulani

The city of Johannesburg with its departments visited Mxolisi Primary School yesterday as part of their on-going Safety Awareness Campaign that runs in schools.

The main aim of their visit was to educate teachers and learners on safety tips that can by taught and implemented by the school which will improve their day-to- day activities.

The different departments include Joburg Water, the Transport Department (Safety and Infrastructure division) and the Johannesburg Metro Police Department.

The Department of Transport addressed learners and teachers on the importance of correctly crossing the road and highlighted how accidents can be avoided on the roads.

Joburg Water addressed learners and teachers on the importance of saving water and using it sparingly weather at school or at home.

“The COJ has done similar events in other regions and Region D decided to host  us this time around.

“The aim is to educate and make aware School Kids and Community about the Safety issues and the services that the COJ provides as a whole,” said Nomvula Dlame from Sophie Masite Civic Centre.
