Parents invited to discuss the future of the Ndofaya diamonds

Learners to continue shining like diamonds

Rough Diamonds youth club is hosting a meeting on March 4 and parents are invited to attend in large numbers.

The financial year end of the organisation is in March and the constitution of the organisation stipulates that an annual general meeting must be held.

“This is an opportunity to discuss the year plan, how to improve the organisation and for new members to be roped in,” said the secretary general of the organisation Didimalang Rapoo.

According to Rapoo, the organisation operations and business plan will be open for discussion.

Founder and General Manager of Rough Diamonds, Ray Nxumalo said that with the government departments also facing their financial year end, there is a need for finding sponsorship and raising funds.

Nxumalo is grateful for the support from parents and Meadowlands schools.

“The future of our education in Meadowlands is bright. Most of the school principals support the organisation all the time and we are still asking for tables and books to help polish rough diamonds,” he said.

He added that they are proud and grateful to Inkonjane Primary, Rishile Primary, Sivelile Primary, Mokgome Secondary, Letsibogo Secondary, Tumang Primary, Matseliso Secondary and Meadowlands High School.

The meeting will start at 11 am and it will be held at 867 Sanders road zone 2 Esontweni.
