Forget cards and candy, Rand Water and the Department of Social Development give better gifts than that

Learners of Emisebemi Primary School received gifts of a different kind this Valentines day.

Rand Water and the Department of Social Development donated uniforms to 200 boys and girls of Emisebemi Primary School in Mofolo this Tuesday.

Amongst the items donated were jerseys, shirts, tunics, vests, trousers and underwear.

Many of the children’s parents are unemployed, so a donation of this kind means a lot to them.

”The rate of unemployment is very high and parents can’t afford to buy full school uniform to make their children presentable,” said principal of Emisebemi Primary School, Thabsile Nomakonde.

The principal was grateful and expressed her gratitude for how the school was honoured.

” What these two companies have done will be memorable forever for the School Governing Body and the parents of the school, a difference has been made and has also brought smiles to the little angels.”
