The ongoing CAF C License course run under the SAB League Skills Camp has been lauded by SAFA’s Technical Director, Neil Tovey.
The camp is the brainchild of the SAB League, one of the country’s biggest football development leagues played in the 52 SAFA regions.
The AFCON 1996 winning captain believes that the league’s new and matured approach to football development is playing an integral part in SAFA’s mandate of football development and achieving it’s set objectives of vision 2022.
“Through such programmes, improvement in the standard of the SAB League and amateur football is expected and will assist in making the dreams of playing professional football possible for youngsters.
“All this can be achieved through such programmes,” said Tovey.
Various coaching methods shared by SAFA’s coaching instructors are being shared with the coaches who are expected to emerge out of the course with good skills of coaching.
The coaches were given an experience of analysing a highly competitive match during the Premier Soccer League match between Kaizer Chiefs and Free State Stars.
This will form part of the overall evaluation of the coaches. The skills camp continues at the High-Performance Centre.
