Smoked out pig snout at Crisp Kitchen

Owner Marc Crisp developing local talent

The enticing aroma of well-seasoned meat greeted customers at the OK Mall in Extension Six. Further investigation revealed a pig sizzling on the spit braai in the parking area.

This latest venture is an example of one of the many innovations founder and owner Marc Crisp is adding to the menu and is sure to cement Crisp Kitchen as the go-to venue for food, company and business.

Crisp said: “We host our ‘Smoke-out Fridays’ because it adds variety to our menu and broadens our target market.”

“We strive to give Eldorado Park residents a good food experience without having to leave the neighbourhood.”

Andile Nsibande, an employee whose job it is to man the spit braai, said that Eldos residents have supported the ‘Smoke-out Fridays’ and promises that there would be many more to come.

Marc Crisp, an ardent advocate of nurturing and developing young talent, has taken former guest chef, Rossman Long (27), under his wing and he has been promoted to permanent chef at the establishment.

Crisp said: “I think development is crucial to the success of any business. Because we are based in Eldorado Park, we want to give local talent an opportunity to sharpen their skills whilst exposing them to the day-to-day running of the business and what that entails.”

Long’s offerings are proving popular with locals as his culinary creations bring a unique dimension to the Crisp Kitchen menu.

Next on their event calendar is the celebration of Valentine’s Day with the official date to be confirmed on their Facebook page.
