A man was assaulted by an angry mob on Sunday, January 22 after he was accused of card skimming in Protea Gardens Mall.
A video of the man’s attack has gone viral.
A witness, Monghadi Sejobe said: “The man was caught at Protea Gardens Mall card skimming – when caught, he pleaded with the crowd not to damage the vehicle he was driving.
“While being questioned by the mob, he was pleading for the car not to be damaged as it belongs to his wife. That was after he had been taken out of the car. This happened at midday,” said Sejobe.
