The Naledi police have arrested about 25 suspects under their Community Safety Programme for crimes ranging from armed robbery, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, theft, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, possession of dagga and selling of liquor without a license.

Last week Monday, a 27- year- old man from Emndeni was arrested for being in possession of a stolen Blue VW Golf GTI that was reported stolen in the West Rand.

The police followed a tracker signal from the vehicle and when the suspects noticed the police, they abandoned the vehicle and ran on foot.

The police gave chase and managed to arrest one of the two men and charged him with being found in the possession of a stolen motor vehicle at corner Njokweni and Daliwonga street in Emndeni.
