Police are on a search for three suspects in connection with the murder of 60-year-old man in Orlando West in the early hours of Sunday.
The victim was shot and killed during an alleged armed robbery at Sakhumzi Restaurant situated at Vilakazi Street.
Kliptown police spokesperson captain Hitler Ngwenya said: “Three armed men approached the 60-year-old manager and demanded to gain access to the restaurant.
“When he refused, one of them drew a firearm and shot him,” said Ngwenya.
The manager was certified dead on the scene by paramedics.
No arrests have been made and police are still investigating.
