Huge donation to aid Adelaide Tambo School

ARMSCOR donates equipment to aid learning

Armaments Corporation of South Africa (ARMSCOR) donated ultra-modern educational equipment at Adelaide Tambo School to aid learners to excel academically given their physical disabilities.

The donation took place at Adelaide Tambo School White City- Jabavu.

The aim of the donation is to ensure that the learning environment remains conducive and progressive for learning.CEO of ARMSCOR, Kevin Wakeford said that this was not just a PR exercise but is an initiative that they strongly care about and will continue to monitor the progress that learners make while using the equipment.

The learners cheered with excitement as the equipment donated was announced. The donations included laptops and even a flat-screened plasma television set.

The school’s choir was also present at the event and they sang their lungs out to express their gratitude. ARMSCOR is the arms procurement agency of the South African Department of Defence.

It was originally established in 1968 as an arms production company, primarily as a response to the international sanctions by the United Nations against South Africa that began in 1963 and were formalised in 1967.
