Trio wanted for business robbery

Kliptown police hunt for suspects who robbed a liquor shop in Pimville.

Kliptown police have released an identikit of one of the four suspects fingered in a business robbery which took place in Pimville last month.

According to police reports, four men went to Hot Pot Bottle Store in Pimville Square on the night of December 17.

“They demanded that a security guard open for them because they wanted to buy beer. Upon opening, one of the suspects produced a fire arm, pointed it to the security guard and dragged him to the tills where he took a cash amount of R7900,” said police spokesperson captain Hitler Ngwenya.

While the man in the identikit was helping himself on the tills, his three accomplices were helping themselves with liquor estimated to be worth R7200.

A manager’s cellphone was taken as well during the robbery. One shot was fired by the suspects but no injuries were sustained.
