It is the first day of school for learners in Soweto and most are going to school for the first time in their lives. Bapedi Primary School (BPS) in Diepkloof takes learners from Grade R till Grade Five and the learners are showered with love and warmth to ready them for Secondary Education.
Wilson Mogodi the principal for BPS praised his staff for their dedication and passion for their work. Mogodi said, “Our school welcomes the Grade R’s with love and warmth. We have innumerable activities that build them up.”
The school produced people like John Shoes Moshoe whose national t-shirt now hangs on the school’s office.
BPS offers activities like chess, sports and trips to open up the children’s imagination and love for education.
The deputy principal for the school Robert Kamsenza said, “We must give the children learner’s love and communicate with their parents and guardians. We give them warmth while instilling the love for education in them.”
