Freedom Kinder Garden celebrates 25 years

Elsie Moloi retires after 25 years of hard work, handing over the ropes to fresh blood.

Freedom Kinder Garden from Meadowlands hosted their graduation ceremony over the past weekend.

Their celebrations coincided with a 25 year anniversary celebration of the establishment of the day care center ever since the first day it started operating. Forming part of the celebrations was a resident who once attended the school and has a daughter who is currently attending the school.

As part of celebrations, pupils rendered items, showing off their skills and what they have been learning when they have been coming to school through the year.

The key note address by the founder of the school was heart felt and encouraging as she spoke of her journey in establishing the day care centre.

“It has never been easy.

“I started this as a source of income 25 years ago and I had never thought that it would grow to become something like what it is now.

“My challenges was managing all these children with only a few employees and labouring to make sure that everything happens for parents so that I too can gain credibility with parents.

“Now I have handed over the ropes and looking back, I am proud of all the hard work we have put into this crèche for it to be what it is,” said Elsie Moloi.
