25-year-old arrested for murder in Diepkloof
The fight was invoked by an argument after the two had a fun night at the local pub.
A 25-year-old man was arrested by the Diepkloof police for allegedly murdering another man.
The murder occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning. The suspect and the deceased were both returning from the Meat Meet pub.
An argument started and the suspect assaulted the other man with a steel pipe on the head.
The suspect was arrested and the other man was taken to Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital where he later died.
The suspect is due to appear in court soon.
The community is urged to not overdose on alcohol ahead of the festive season because this is what leads most to violence.
