Kumaka offering free childcare, Eldos

Parents urged to register children.

Parents who are unable to afford childcare now have help in the form of the Kumaka Early Development Index (KEDI).

This non-profit organisation is making childcare available to parents from Eldorado Park, Freedom Park and Joe Slovo Park through the mobile Early Childhood Development buses which operate in these areas.

The service is free and caters to children from the ages of two years to five years old, from 8am to 4pm during weekdays.

KEDI works in partnership with the Department of Social Development in ensuring the efficient management and delivery of programmes and services to communities across South Africa.

The Eldorado Park community is invited to attend this year’s graduation at the Albertus Pop Centre on December 2 at 9am. Tickets will be sold at R30 and will be used for refreshments at the graduation ceremony.

Parents in need of free childcare are urged to register their children for the coming year. No registration fees or school fees are payable and interested parents may contact the Kumaka regional co-ordinator at the e-mail facility listed below for further information: shaunl@kumaka.org.za.
