Police thank the community for aiding in the capture of the evidence.

A 27-year-old man from Klipspruit has been sentenced to three years imprisonment for possession of stolen goods. His case was heard by the Lenasia Magistrate Court this week.

According to police reports, the man was convicted for a crime he commuted in the year 2012. He and his accomplice walked in to a house in Crowned Gardens on the morning of May 8 and ordered everyone to get down.

They made off with cellphones, appliances and an Opel Corsa. A house robbery case was opened at the Booysens Police Station and the investigation was started. Police then received a tipoff that there was a house in Pimville suspected of having stolen goods. When police arrived in that house, the car and other stolen goods were found.

The registration plate of the car had already been changed. Police would like to thank all the witnesses who availed themselves and helped secure the connection.
