Kliptown police are continuing with their crime and drug awareness campaign ahead of the festive season.
On Tuesday, they embarked on a door to door campaign in Pimville and Klipspruit in an effort to curb the scourge of drug abuse and educate people about the dangers of crime in the areas.
“The campaign was a huge success with residents opening their doors to us and showing their willingness to work with the police in keeping their areas safe,” said police spokesperson constable Thuli Ngwenya.
Other stakeholders involved in the campaign were the Youth Desk, Community Policing Forum, Social Development and the Local Drug Action Committee.
