133 packets of dagga, 100 fake CD’s and four arrests

Protea Glen SAPS arrested four suspects yesterday for the possession of drugs last Thursday.

Three men arrested were arrested for the possession of dagga on Wildchestnut Street in Protea Glen extension 11, next to the post office late Thursday night.

On a regular patrol, officers saw the men standing next to the post office and ask to search them.

The suspects, who are aged between the ages of 22 and 29, were in the possession of three packets containing dagga and they were arrested on the spot .

There was another incident where a 32-year-old male was arrested as well at Protea Glen Mall for dealing in dagga and in possession of fake CD’s.

“When officers were doing their patrols, they received a tip-off about a man selling dagga and counterfeit cd’s next to the mall,” said Constable Vincent Mashiteng, communication person at the Protea Glen SAPS.

The suspect was approached by the police and was searched.

113 packets containing dagga and 100 fake CD’s were found in his possession and he was then arrested on the spot.

The suspects for both incidents were charged with the above-mentioned charges and will appear in the Protea Magistrates Court today.
