A man was found dead at Dube Hostel on October 18 by the Meadowlands police.
Meadowlands police spokesperson Octavia Thebe said: “An officer attended a shooting which occurred at Dube hostel and on his arrival the man was already certified dead by the paramedics.”
Thebe said that upon examination, the deceased sustained one bullet wound in the head.
According to Thebe it is alleged that the deceased was shot by an unknown African male after they had an argument.
No arrest has been made and the case is currently under investigation.
Thebe said that this is not the first murder case they attended at Dube hostel since September 23.
“The police are doing all they can to make sure that such incidents are prevented.”
