18 BizAIDS participants receive certificates

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is important and the BizAIDS enables residents to learn more about HIV and AIDS, TB and succession planning.

The South African Business Coalition on Health and AIDS (SABCOHA) in partnership with the Lesego Tau Education Foundation and the ward committee members in Snake Park hosted a certificate issuing ceremony at the Doornkop Community Hall.

SABCOHA exists to empower and mobilise business to respond effectively to wellness in the workplace and in the community.

The ceremony follows a two-day intensive business training facilitated by SABCOHA as a stakeholder to LTEF and the ward committee in Snake Park.

Participants were taken through a programme called BizAIDS which speaks on; basic business management, health focusing on HIV and AIDS, TB and succession planning.

Desmond Sono said: “It is high time that we take responsibility for our lives and make sure that we work and invest on ideas that can benefit us and those around us.”

LTEF PR officer Nokuthula Mkhaliphi said: “Success is achieved through meaningful and productive relationships – it’s our view as a foundation to partner with structures that can bring sustainable development in our communities.”

The course saw 18 participants receiving their certificate for the commitment on the two days and the certificate is recognised by the United States Community Fund.

Programme manager of BizAIDS, Mmapule Dorothy Phahla was there to come and perform an in-depth evaluation with the participants to see if they received a quality presentation of the programme.
