Two men were arrested in the early hours of October 16 following a high-speed chase by JMPD officers.
The men were travelling in a vehicle stolen in Rustenburg and officers spotted the stolen Mercedes Benz in Freedom Park.
A high-speed chase ensued along the Golden Highway after which the men were apprehended by JMPD officers and charged with vehicle theft at Booysens police station.
A total of 245 drunk drivers were arrested in separate operations conducted by JMPD throughout the city and will face court appearances in various courts throughout the city during the week.
