MOOV centre encourages youth to enroll

University accredited courses are provided free of charge through an online system.

Massive Open Online Varsity (MOOV) is a revolutionary new concept to bring the world’s best universities to everyone with a will to learn, founded by Rael Lissoos, the centre has branches in some Soweto areas, Johannesburg CBD and Sandton.

They decided to initially start with support for computer fields and business related subjects but anyone is more than welcome to come study Science, Engineering etc. in a great environment.

In phase one, students are afforded the opportunity to study web designing and learn how to start your own website.

Once phase one is complete, phase two allows you to study through some of the biggest universities in the world including courses from University of Adelaide, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Duke University among others.

Religious studies and computer science courses are also available at the center.

Christin Dharsey from Westbury who is a training facilitator at the Westbury centre completed various courses such as health and professionalism, leadership skills and computer science said it is beneficial especially for youth.

“The course even assists those who did not complete school by up-skilling and improving your CV.

“I would advise our youth to join the programme as it will only benefit them in creating a better future for them,” said Dharsey.

Brian Gwarimbo and Kyle Fortuin who are current students in the programme said they would advise anyone to enrol.

“In today’s world everything is digital and when you enrol in the program you allow yourself to pursue different ventures and career choices,” said Gwarimbo.

The best part of the programme is that you determine the duration of your desired course.

People of all ages are encouraged to enrol.

Address of the MOOV centre in Westbury is corner Roberts Avenue and Du Plessis Street, Westbury.
