Man in his 30s killed in accident, Devland

After a collision with a dump truck a man was found to have died suffering multiple injuries.

According to information received from ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, a man was involved in a fatal accident involving a dump truck in Devland on October 6.

The accident occurred on the refuse site just past East Street in Devland. ER24 paramedics, as well as provincial services, found the man’s body lying underneath the truck when they arrived on the scene.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was removed from the vehicle and assessments indicated that he had endured multiple injuries.

An injury to his head proved to be the fatal one and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Meiring said, “It is believed that the driver of the truck failed to notice the man standing near the truck.”

Police and other local law enforcement agencies were on the scene to conduct further investigations
