Residents jubilant over new sub-station
City Power has answered the call to residents of Southey and Croesus Avenue.
Following the cable theft incident in August this year, residents of Southey and Croesus Avenue suffered.
This caused City Power to then have to bring in generators to power up the houses. The problem they faced was security issues and the fact that the generators were placed in a high-risk area.
Numerous emails to city power mostly by Cedric Kok and Cleo Prince led to a quicker response and City Power has now installed a new sub-station.
“We are very happy and relieved that a new sub-station was built.
“We could not be more grateful for this as it took us a lot of work to get it done,” said Kok.
City Power responded by fixing it and now residents are happy, however, security issues are still a problem because it will be left unguarded.
City Power has responded saying a contingency plan will be discussed.
