School concert wows parents

Support from parents and relatives was overwhelming at the Eldorado Park Primary School Concert

Eldorado Park Primary School hosted its annual concert at the Don Mateman Hall.

Parents and relatives showed up in their multitudes to support the pupils who put on a dazzling display of young talent.

Delyse Klassen, principal at the school, opened the proceedings with a prayer and the stage was set for the pupils to put their talents on display. The younger pupils, though clearly suffering from stage fright, performed well and their opening routine set the tone for the evening’s performances.

The Don Mateman Hall was packed to the rafters and supportive parents brandished their cameras to capture their children’s acts.

The glaring onstage lighting gave the evening a professional, polished feel and the nerves soon wore off as the various Grades presented their items to rapturous applause.A disc jockey was on hand to keep the crowds entertained with contemporary music, and had the audience dancing along.

The more senior pupils compered the event and acquitted themselves very well with this mammoth task.
One parent remarked that she always looked forward to the school’s annual concert and that it buoyed her emotionally to see her child getting the confidence to perform in front of so many people.
