Everest Primary School celebrates 40 years

Talent show held last night to showcase the talents of the pupils of the school.

Everest Primary School yesterday celebrated 40 years of existence by hosting a talent show for the pupils in which they showcased their talents.

Previous teachers and principals Ralph Goodall, Andrew Edwards, Chrissie Goodall and Anthea Khan all braced the parents, teachers, and children with their presence.

Some of the items that were showcased were rhythmic movements by the Grade Four pupils, Grade R pupils performed the famous “macarena” dance and the very talented Grade Seven choir delivered a medley.

The principal of the school Brian William Berry said the school has come a long way to be where it is currently.

“We were labelled as a school with no hope but now it was resurrected.

“The department of education is currently granting us the gift of a new school in which we can only thank God for this gift,” said Berry.

Local musician Cyril “Dafunc” Petersen braced the audience with his music and was the programme director for the event.
