Coca Cola to host Schools Recycling Awards

Coca-Cola to reward schools that participated in the Schools Recycling competition.

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa will be hosting the 2016 Schools Recycling Awards on the September 28 at Diepkloof Multipurpose Centre.

The awards are held to applaud the top performing schools nationally that have excelled during the 2016 programme.

Over the years, pupils from various regions in South Africa have been encouraged to get involved and engrossed in the process of recycling from an early age.

This competitive approach has not only created environmental awareness but has seen pupils and adults go out of their way to ensure that discarded waste is attended to, in turn creating a cleaner environment for all.

The awards are therefore held to applaud the top performing schools nationally that have excelled during the 2016 programme.

These awards will also be attended by Gauteng MEC for Education, Panyaza Lesufi and Social Development Deputy Minister, Henrietta Bogopane-Zulu.

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa spokespeople: Tshidi Ramogase (CCBSA Public Affairs & Communications Director) and Gaopaleloe Mothoagae (CCBSA Head of Sustainability and Transformation) will be available on the day to share more insights on the schools’ roles in recycling and how this initiative has made strides amongst pupils and communities.
