Gambling away their future, Klipspruit West

Children are throwing their lives away.

This is a scene played out almost daily at Klipspruit West Secondary School. Teachers are not present in class and pupils resort to playing dice and the like to while away the time.

According to concerned residents, pupils arrive at school between 8:30 a.m to 9 a.m each day, displaying a flagrant disregard for the rules in place to ensure that our children are disciplined when they enter the job market.

The school and parents are embroiled in a bitter battle, as it is rumoured to be on the closure list following sub-par performances over the past few years.

Parents, teachers and concerned stakeholders will be having a meeting talks 6 pm at the nearby Saint Ives Primary School Hall to address the issues facing a school in crisis.
