With all the #WestburyShootings, residents plan massive stay away march

A Stay Away Strike is being called upon by unknown residents of Westbury.

Yesterday afternoon at about 5pm the streets of Tamboekie Court, in Westbury was under fire as approximately five gunmen were engaged in a shootout in broad daylight.

This has now called for a massive Stay Away Strike scheduled for tomorrow by unknown organisers.

The local Sophiatown Police Station warrant officer Jerbes De Bruin said they have no knowledge of the strike.

“People have to apply for strikes or any protests and this has not been done.“As far as we are concerned the stay away strike is illegal,” said De Bruin.

Tamboekie Court, Percy Peffer, and Florida Avenue have become the most notorious drug-circle, where people constantly live in fear, as gunshots at night have become a norm.

The email of the strike reads as follows:

People from other places, please avoid coming through Westbury or Newclare.
