Morgan Gould remembers his former primary school

The Morgan Gould Foundation gives back to the community.

The Morgan Gould Cares foundation (MGCF) went to donate uniforms, blankets, and goodies to the pupils of Noordgesig Primary School on August 13. Gould used to be a pupil in the school and went to give back to the underprivileged pupils of his former school.

The Head of Department (HOD) for the school Percy Vanwyk acted on behalf of the principal who was off sick, said, “The school is grateful that someone who grew up and attended school here gives back to the community.”

Vanwyk said, “I wish our pupils would be successful in life and walk in Gould’s footsteps instead of idolizing drug lords and thugs.”

The foundation selected approximately 50 needy pupils to donate to, Michelle Steele of the School Governing Body (SGB) said, “We discovered that some pupils are without uniforms during a Morgan Gould six a side tournament.

The school outsourced people for uniforms and the Gauteng Department of Education (GDE) joined in the initiative, Anthony Meyers of the GDE said, “We are glad to be part of this initiative because the GDE cannot remedy these situations on its own.”

Charlene Welcome was a single parent of one of the recipients, she said, “I appreciate what Gould has done for our children because sometimes as single parents there are things we don’t afford.”
