Builders team renovated school for Mandela Month

School transformed to model c.

Sediba-Thuto High Primary School was one of the schools chosen by Builders hardware to renovate some of the dilapidated buildings at the school.

Some of the refurbished buildings at the school included leaking taps, repainting the school walls, classroom chalkboards, and the principal office.

Forming part of the event, the team also cooked soup and donated blankets for the school children and nearby residents.

The school principal Nomahlubi Xaba said: “The school has tried to improve their infrastructure for so many years and they are grateful and excited to have Builders team helping them and adopting the school to ensure that it’s provided with necessary resources to keep the infrastructure well maintained.

“The school is also promising to open an art studio where children will participate in different art activities for instance dancing, drawings/graphics, singing, drama and acting.”

Builders representative Nicole Leroux said: “It’s important for people to participate in celebrating Mandela Day due to the foundation he layered for democratic we have today.

“We celebrating a legend, we celebrate a person who fought for the spirit or Ubuntu and unity in the country.”
