Learning App brings hope for tutoring in Soweto

A tutoring NPO has found an innovative way of learning for techno-savvy youths.

Niche Tutoring a non-profit organization (NPO), located in Meadowlands has developed a mobile app to support virtual learning.

“The development of this app was initially to inflate our educational assistance to remote areas out of our physical reach due to inadequacy of resources, and make it accessible to South Africa as a whole and to make it easier for pupils presently benefiting from our tutorials at the comfort of their homes,” said Simon Lekwape founding chairman of the NPO.

The aim of the app is to provide supplemental after-school education services online for high school pupils, with the luxury of complete control scheduling and tailoring their own tutoring sessions which will keep to their needs.

App services rendered not only help pupils with their homework but primarily help them to excel in advanced subjects, languages, and essential skills.

The services provided are positioned as homework help desk or as special skill development training with a tutor.

These services are positioned as an alternative to other online education.

Other functions of the app follow below:

The NPO focuses on the positive development of pupils by way of tutoring.

There are tutorials in mathematics, science and accounting, and supplementary subjects.

Career guidance, recreational and cultural program are offered as early childhood development.

“Our focus is to enable opportunities for pupils in all aspects of life through enrichment programs and activities.

“Niche Tutoring would highly appreciate the opportunity for the development of the Mobile App to reach masses of the entire country and share how the App functions,” said Lekwape.

For now, the app will be available to android phones and can be downloaded from tomorrow morning on Google Play, pupils can search for Niche Tutoring and the app should appear ready for download.

It can be accessed on  www.nichetutoring.com  and pupils can create a profile for themselves.
