Victory for EFF against illegal eviction

EFF puts family back in their house after illegal eviction.

EFF branch from Protea Glen Ward 135 has fought hard and won the case of illegal eviction which was issued illegally and fraudulently to Nondumiso Mgcolozana and her family.

According to Ward 135 chairperson and councillor candidate Phumla Nhlapho this is a start to more illegal eviction at Glen.

“We will fight day and night to make sure that we fight and win against bogus and illegal property agents targeting our people and robbing them of their properties.

“It is sad that our people lose their properties daily all because of these crooks, but now we are here and ready to fight and make sure that we don’t offer these people space to operate because this situation is affection our people in the community.”

According to the re-instatement notice from Johannesburg High Court, it favours Mgcolozana and the notice states that she can re-occupy the house because it was sold illegally and she was evicted without proper channels.

“I’m so relieved and happy to be back in my house today and this is a relief to me and my family, finally we can move in back into our house now.”

Nhlapo said: “The court ruled in favour of our member and we are going to make sure that we help her move back into her house and that no one come to intimidate her ever again.”
