Vendor shot dead in front of the police station.
Motive to the death of a street vendor unknown.
Yesterday, a street vendor was shot in front of the Dobsonville Police Station allegedly by unknown men who were driving in a blue Renault Clio.
The male vendor was rushed to a nearby hospital but died on arrival.
Police Spokesperson Mzwakhe Xazi said the alleged criminals took the stock that was sold by the deceased.
He sold airtime, cigarettes and snacks.
Xazi said police have launched a full investigation and anyone with information should contact the police station on 011 983 1500.
Police confirmed the alleged criminals’ vehicle’s number plate begins with letters GBY…
The rest of the letters on the number plate were not seen as the vehicle fled the scene.
