Donald gets 25 years of imprisonment
Former Jozi FM DJ Donal Sebolai was to sentenced 25 years imprisonment today at Palm Ridge Court.
He was sentenced 20 years for one count of murder and five years for defeating ends of justice.
Sebolai stabbed his girlfriend on June 29 2014 at Jabulani flats. He was on the run for approximately 10 days after his girlfriend died. He first appeared at Protea Magistrate Court on July 11 2014.
On his second appearance on July 6 the same year, his bail application was denied but he later got it the following year. His case was moved to Palm Ridge Court on February 9 2015 where he was granted R10.000 bail.
Sebolai pleaded not guilty but was later found guilty for three counts of crime.
In October last year, he was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend (Dolly Tshabalala), stealing her vehicle and defeating the ends of justice. On February 10 this year, he was supposed to be sentenced but it was later postponed to today where it was announced that he will serve 25 years in prison.
