The Johannesburg Development Agency highlighted that there would be a secondary 1600 square meter shopping centre, a developed amphitheatre, road developments, a motor spares centre and current housing developments.

Three phases of the overall development project have already been completed with one other phase currently taking place which includes the Jabulani Housing unit taking place in Jabulani Hostel.

The old Jabulani Amphitheatre opposite Soweto Theatre is also being developed in this phase where recreational facilities will be linked to the main sports field.
