Police officer shoots himself

On Monday January 4, a police officer from Orlando SAPS shot himself at his home in Protea Glen Extension 11.

He was found with a bullet wound in his head by his son.

The son quickly called the neighbours for help, and they called an ambulance.

He later died in hospital and it is still unknown why he committed suicide.

Police are still investigating the matter.
