Weed, weapons and more found during raid

Underage girls released into the care of their parents.

On Friday night the LDAC team in partnership with Eldorado Park CPF and Florida Sector 2 CPF embarked on a supply reduction operation In Eldorado Park.

A stop and search was conducted at the Extension Two and Three flats.

A bread packet containing several bags of weed was found in a nearby bin in Extension Three.

During the stop and search ammunition was found in a red polo in Extension Four “varke yard” resulting in the arrest of two men with two underage girls.

The underage girls were released into the care of their parents.

In Extension Four several arrests were made for dealing and possession of drugs.

A large amount of Mandrax tablets, cat and weed was found at a house in Mapelaberg Road Extension Four.

In Milnerton Road several bags of tik and two stolen vehicles were recovered.

In Balfour street, also in Extension Four a dagga plantation was discovered and one arrest was made.

In total five dockets were opened.

Those arrested appeared in court on Monday.

The last raid was conducted in Extension One at a place called “the hospital” where knives and other weapons were confiscated.

Residents have sent through numerous complaints stating that the people who live there are those who rob the residents.

Several ID documents, credit cards and purses were found on the premises.

“A special thanks to General Pharasi, SAPS Gauteng Commissioner for deploying the K9 unit to support the team.

“The police and team worked from 9 :30 pm Friday evening through to Saturday morning 10 am.

“General Pharasi has been supporting all major operations in the area,” Dereleen James said
