Lerato wants to travel the world

Should she win the Miss Soweto she will focus on early childhood development.

The top 20 finalists for the Miss Soweto 2015 beauty pageant have been selected. One of them will be crowned Miss Soweto at a glamorous event to be held at the Soweto Theatre on December 5.

The top 20 was selected at the final round of auditions held at Maponya Mall early this month.

The countdown to the final has begun and all the finalists are ready to showcase their stuff on the runway. Each day leading to the finals will be dedicated to one of the girls in the running to be queen of Africa’s biggest township.

Lerato “Barbie” Moroeng @Leetrax1

19-year-old Lerato “Babie” Moroeng from Dobsonville is a researcher by profession when she is not walking the runway.

She is currently working for the Dobsonville Heritage Foundation.

Other than becoming Miss Soweto, Babie has ambitions of working for a travel and tourism company so she can travel the world.

Her top priority, should she win the Miss Soweto competition will be to motivate and inspire pupils from primary schools.

She strongly believes that a healthy and solid foundation is vital for growth and development of children.
