The African National Congress (ANC) has sent a message of condolences to the Sisulu family following the passing of Lungile Sisulu.
He was the son of the late struggle stalwart Walter Sisulu.
Lungile who died on Tuesday night played a role in facilitating a number of underground operations when his father and other ANC leaders were behind bars in Roben Island.
The ruling party has described Lungile as, “An unsung hero of our struggle who perfected the art of invisibility yet championed critical roles in the struggle.”
Details about his death have not be released.
