2015 final examination timetable available

The time when parents need to double their support for their children has come – exams are starting and GDE urges parents not to interrupt them.

The National Senior Certificate (NSC) Final Examination Timetable has been released by the Department of Basic Education.

Exams will kick-off on October 19, with practical subjects like Computer Applications Tech P1 and followed by Information Technology P1 on October 20.

On October 26, pupils will be writing their first theoretical paper being English Home Language and First Additional Language P1 for two hours starting at 9am.

Others will be writing consumer studies (three hours) and hospitality studies (three hours) at 2pm on the very same day.

According to spokesperson for Gauteng Department of Education, Phumla Sekhonyane, the exams will take about five weeks to complete.

Sekhonyane said this is the time when pupils need to focus and revise as much as they can in preparation of their final papers.

“All the best to our pupils and may they pass with flying colours and represent Gauteng well,” she said.

Pupils and parents can access the final examination timetable from the Department of Basic Education website by simply logging on to www.education.gov.za
