Leaders handover memorandum to police

The DA gave a memorandum to Eldorado Park police after a drug march and campaign.

The Democratic Alliance (DA) on Saturday marched to the police station where they handed over a memorandum with a list of suspected drug dealers.

They appealed to police to act on the information and bring an end to the drug scourge in Eldorado Park.

“We have big problems with drugs in the Western Cape but we’ve got a plan and where we’ve implemented the plan, its working,” Zille said.

A special unit has been created and placed in the drug hotspots in the area where drug dealers have been removed.

The march was led by DA leader Mmusi Maimane, Western Cape premier Helen Zille and local ward councillors.

Leaders used the opportunity to campaign while gathering at the police station.

Marchers want to see the return of specialised crime units.
