Update: Police make breakthrough in the arrest of Dobsi cop killers

Warrant officer Samuel Mchizama (50) and constable Solly Bumbjy Maluleke (40) were shot and killed in Dobsonville on September 9.

According to SAPS twitter account (@SAPoliceService) the three suspects linked to the killing of two police detectives on Wednesday, September 9 have been detained.

From the eight alleged gun men, two were shot dead at the N3 near the De Hoek toll plaza the following day while driving in their red Golf GTI.

The SAPS account also indicated that the arrests were made following team work between SAPS, Hawks, flying squad, GP Tracing Team SD, K9 Unit and Crime Intel.

According to lieutenant colonel Lungelo Dlamini, one appeared in the Protea Magistrate Court on Monday and two will appear in the very same court tomorrow morning.
