Rape case connected to Dobsi police killings

Two of the eight men allegedly linked to police killings that occurred in Dobsonville, shot dead.

Apparently a rape case might be the reason two Gauteng detectives were shot dead by armed men on Wednesday in Dobsonville Extension Two, Soweto.

The detectives were from the Protea Magistrate Court for a rape case and carried dockets with them – but were stolen from them at the time of the murder.

They (suspected men) were armed with R5 rifles.

Two of the men suspected to be involved in murder of warrant officer Samuel Mchizama (50) and constable Solly Maluleke (40) were gunned down yesterday at the De Hoek toll plaza on the N3 highway.

The suspects were shot dead in a confrontation with Gauteng police after they were spotted driving in a vehicle (red Golf GTI) which according to reports was fitting a description of that which was linked to the killing of officers in Dobsonville.
