Comfortable in their own skin

Organisers of the campaign are of the view that every woman is unique in structure and and want to get rid of the notion that only slim women can be beautiful.

Women’s Month was all about celebrating and shining a spotlight to all that has to do with the gentle sex.

Celebration of Life And All Things Good and Over Exposed Photography celebrated the month by hosting an event which highlighted the beauty that is the women’s body.

In an unconventional way of celebrating Women’s Month, they selected women of different body sizes and shapes for a photo shoot.

They had to pose in their underwear for an online campaign which seeks to promote self love and confidence amongst women of different sizes and shapes.

Titled, Redefinition Of Beauty, the campaign seeks to give woman who had their beauty defined by other people’s standards a chance to see how gorgeous they are in their own way.

Organisers of the campaign are of the view that every woman is unique in structure and and want to get rid of the notion that only slim women can be beautiful.

“The media world has over the years defined what we should see as beautiful and so this campaign seeks to challenge that perception by giving average women the opportunity to define their own beauty and this is done through photography,” said Kamogelo Bokala who is driving the campaign.

“Every woman is unique in her make-up, structure and body type. Not even identical twins are the same, even though that’s how it may appear to the naked eye.

“The Truth is we’re all different. So, what makes us think it is reasonable to subscribe to a universal idea of beauty,” concluded Bokala.
