According to the station’s communications manager Lukha Khoza, the child was abandoned at SOMOHO on Sunday night.
“It is shocking that there are still women who still dump children while there are drop in centres and places of safety that cater for such children.
“We haven’t received any leads or information as to who the culprit is but we will work around the clock to make sure that we catch the culprit and let the law take its course,” said Khoza.
He confirmed that they have opened a case of child abandonment and urged residents to contact the station on 011 527 0000 for any leads.
